Refund policy

At Phoenix Arts by Richard, we take great care in crafting and packaging each piece of art to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, the following policy outlines your options for returns and refunds.

1. Return Eligibility

  • You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order for domestic (India) deliveries, and within 14 days for international deliveries.
  • The artwork must be in its original condition — unused, undamaged, and returned in the original packaging with all protective materials, certificates of authenticity (if applicable), and accessories included.
  • Custom-made, commissioned, or personalized artworks are not eligible for return unless the piece arrives damaged or significantly different from what was ordered.

2. Damaged or Defective Items

If your artwork arrives damaged or defective:

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the damage and the packaging.
  • We will arrange for a replacement at no additional cost or issue a full refund.
  • Please retain the original packaging until we have reviewed your claim.

3. Return Process

  • Once you initiate a return, our team will review the claim and arrange a pickup from your location at a convenient time for the eligible claims.  

4. Refund Processing

  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned artwork at our studio.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
  • If the artwork is returned in a condition different from what was shipped, a restocking fee of up to 25% may be deducted from the refund amount.

5. Return Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to a damaged or incorrect item, Phoenix Arts by Richard will bear the return shipping cost.
  • For all other returns (e.g. change of mind), the customer is responsible for return shipping charges, including any customs duties or taxes incurred for international returns.

6. Non-Returnable Items

  • Commissioned or custom-made paintings
  • Digital art or downloadable content
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance"

7. Order Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of placing the order, provided the artwork has not yet been shipped.
  • Once the artwork has been dispatched, the standard return process applies.
